How LedgerPicks Tests and Scores Crypto Casinos

TK By Tomas Keller, Crypto Payments Auditor Updated 18.06.2026

Every LedgerPicks score comes from real money moving on and off the site, not a press kit. Here is exactly how we test and how the 100 points are split.

The deposits

For each casino we fund a real account with our own crypto — usually BTC or USDT, roughly $150 to $200 equivalent per site. We keep stakes modest and spread play across slots, live tables and a couple of originals, so the experience matches a typical player rather than a whale.

Timing the cashouts

Over roughly ten weeks we request withdrawals repeatedly — small, medium and a few larger amounts, on weekdays and weekends. We log the timestamp at request and the moment funds actually arrive on-chain or in the receiving wallet. Scores reward sites where cashouts typically cleared in under an hour and stayed consistent across several dozen attempts, and penalise unexplained delays or shifting limits.

Measuring real fees

We compare the fee quoted at withdrawal with the amount that actually lands, across multiple coins where possible. A site that states its network costs honestly scores far better than one that quietly widens the spread.

Support, under load

We open real support tickets — a stuck-looking withdrawal, a verification question, a bonus query — and time the first useful human reply. Scripted brush-offs do not count.

Security checklist

We note licensing, two-factor options, withdrawal confirmation steps, provably-fair tooling where offered, and how KYC is handled. None of this replaces your own due diligence.

Honest limitations

We cannot test every game, every coin or every jurisdiction, and conditions change. Our figures are hedged snapshots from a specific testing window, payout times depend partly on network congestion, and a site can improve or slip after we publish. Treat our rankings as an informed starting point, not a promise — and always confirm current terms yourself. 18+; gambling involves risk. If it stops being fun, step away and seek support.

Methodology FAQ

Do you really deposit your own money?
Yes. Every score is based on real crypto we deposited, played and withdrew ourselves — typically $150 to $200 equivalent per site. We do not score sites we have not funded and tested.
How long does a full test take?
About ten weeks per site. That window lets us request many withdrawals under different conditions — small and large, weekday and weekend — rather than judging a single lucky cashout.
Do affiliate deals change the scores?
No. Rankings are set by the testing before any commercial conversation, and commissions never move a site up or down. Several well-known brands rank low precisely because the payout data said so.
Why are your payout times hedged rather than exact?
Because real withdrawal speed varies with coin, amount and live network congestion. Publishing a single precise number would be misleading, so we describe consistent patterns (“typically under an hour”) instead of inventing decimals.
